Hotel Santa Barbara guests share their Santa Barbara Favorites
Our family has spent many nights at Hotel Santa Barbara, and we love it there!! One of the most recent memorable visits was when we surprised my daughter with a road trip and her best girlfriends to her favorite get a way to Santa Barbara and Hotel Santa Barbara!! We told her we would not be staying at HSB because you were full and when she found out we were indeed staying at her FAVORITE hotel, her mood quickly changed! Teresa
My favorite Santa Barbara memories consist of making my way down State Street, discovering new shops, restaurants – and strolling down to the Beach for a day in the sun while people-watching. Santa Barbara is such a relaxing getaway – somewhere to enjoy lazy days and take in the beautiful scenery, leaving stress and troubles behind. Emily
Gosh, where do I begin? Stepping outside the front door of the Hotel Santa Barbara and catching the trolley that travels up and down State Street, then having it drop us off at the wharf for strolling along the pier... riding the canopied covered bikes up and down the waterfront. So much fun! Shopping! The weather. The sunshine. The pleasant temperature. The "European" feel in the atmosphere. Bougainvillea and Bird of Paradise. Gorgeous. A visual delight. Lora
I was just driving through an area by the mission, it was raining with blue skies ahead, and it was so dramatic and beautiful. The downtown area is so alive with life and activity, balanced by the magnificent serenity of the areas of the beach and ocean. Damon
Newlyweds on a honeymoon, it was the day after the wedding and we were finally on our way. We checked in to Hotel Santa Barbara and I was thrilled that we were in this charming little hotel right in the center of it all! We rode our bikes all over town and down to Montecito. And then we made our way to a glutton's paradise—Palazzio's! Quite full from the meal, we walked up State Street, lingered in a used music store, picked out and sneakily hid Christmas gifts for each other in other shops, found room for some dark chocolate from Cost Plus World Market, and grabbed coffee from our favorite bakery, Pierre La Fonde! I don't remember anything I didn't enjoy from the two days we spent in Santa Barbara. My only regret is that I don't get a Honeymoon every year! Kimberley
