I will never forget the first time I went to Santa Barbara 4 years ago. The drive along the beach was wonderful- it was sunny, warm, the sky was blue and the air was fresh…Santa Barbara is even more meaningful to me now-we will be getting married there next month! Michelle

One of my favorite vacations was a spontaneous one to Santa Barbara with my (now) husband…when I mentioned that MY favorite city is Santa Barbara and we decided to jump in our car and go…we had romantics dinners, and shopping is always a blast....all outside of our hotel. No car needed. Needless to say, my husband loves downtown State Street as much as I do now. We had our wedding in SB because we wanted all of our friends and family to see where we first feel in love. Kacey

I have lots of favorite visits. I've always loved staying at the Hotel Santa Barbara because it's walking distance from all my favorite places… I've celebrated anniversaries and birthdays with you…I actually have had sad times in my life lightened by a visit to S.B. When my mother passed away I brought my girls and we sat on the beach staring out that ocean, which my mother loved and visited often, and feeling the ocean breeze wash over my grief. Kathy

I'll never forget the view I got from the base of State St. out on the pier. Turning around and seeing the beach backed up by the city and mountains is one that doesn't exist in too many locations...and I've been to many, not only in the U.S., but around the world as well. Two other spectacular views include the one from the top of the bell tower at the Courthouse, and one from the top of the mountains as I made my way back from the valley. All three have provided me with wonderful pictures and a desire to come back… Mike

My husband and I got married at the Covarrubias Adobe 13 years ago on a beautiful blue-sky-white-puffy-cloud day in March. The mariachis strummed as the tri-tip sizzled and the sangria flowed. Friends and family came from all coasts and left as converts of Santa Barbara. We still stop by the adobe every time we are in town and realize that the magic of Santa Barbara still has a hold on us. A friend and I just returned from 4 fun-filled days in Santa Barbara…and enjoyed every minute we were in your beautiful city…Wine tour that included a picnic lunch, free tastings, and pick-up and return to our hotel. Sunset cruise. Ice cream at a great little out of the way shop. Driving through the beautiful streets and downtown area. We can't wait to come back and hope to do so soon! Thank u for making visitors feel so welcome. Penny

I took a much needed vacation alone to Santa Barbara. I choose to stay at Hotel Santa Barbara because I was alone and wanted to be close to everything. What a treat that was. The hotel is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the beach (should you choose to walk there as I did. Great exercise!) During my stay, I had dinner twice at The Palace Grill. The food was just that good. I had a massage at the Le Reve Day Spa. I enjoyed coffee from the Santa Barbara Coffee Roasting Company. I recommend the Montecito blend. Paula

We love the fact that we can stroll the "main drag" and shop or dine without moving the car, on those lazy days. And when we get adventurous, we can drive to one of many awesome wineries and just sit, chit-chat and wine taste! Kevin & Toni

The rose garden at the Santa Barbara Mission…The drive over the hill to the mesa – perfect ocean views…Art Walk with coffee…Picnicking at the Sunken Gardens Kristin

When my husband & I visited we took morning walks in the fog down to the pier and to see the sun rise and in the cool of the evening we enjoyed wandering down State Street in search of the perfect dessert Bethany

Everything fun is within walking distance especially the beach and the BEST farmers Market in the world. Thanks for the memories!!! Geri

We found out that we were only 6 or 7 blocks away from a great Italian restaurant called Ca Darios. We walked to the restaurant from the Hotel Santa Barbara, had a great meal, and took our time walking back. We stopped at the Coach store and I talked my wife into buying a red Coach purse, then we stopped in a music store, and bought a Frank Sinatra CD, went back to our hotel, happy and satisfied with a great evening and great memories.
