Celebrate Summer with Santa Barbara 1st Thursday Event
Hotel Santa Barbara will open its lobby for a celebration of summer Thursday, June 6 for Downtown Santa Barbara 1st Thursday from 5 to 8 pm.
Santa Barbara 1st Thursday is an arts and culture event in which downtown businesses open their doors to the public to showcase local arts and performances.
Located at the corner of State and Cota, 533 State Street, 1st Thursday attendees will enjoy hula and Tahitian dancers accompanied by live ukulele music performed by Martin Osborne. Local restaurant The Middle Child will serve small bites dedicated to seasonal ingredients, and Sanford Winery will pour world-class wines in the shades of summer.
“Hula Anyone is looking forward to performing for the first time at Hotel Santa Barbara,” shared Angelita Eller, Master Hula Teacher for Hula Anyone. “The art and tradition of dance is the perfect accompaniment to the spirit of Santa Barbara’s 1st Thursday.”
The event begins at 5 pm with live music, food and drink. Hula Anyone dancers will begin performing at 6 pm. Throughout the evening tours showcasing Hotel Santa Barbara’s new guest bathroom renovation will be available and will include special summer-themed prizes.
“We are looking forward to a summer season kick-off,” said the General Manager of Hotel Santa Barbara. “With the recent completion of our guest bathroom renovation, we want to open our doors to the community and celebrate. We can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve accomplished.”
The event is open to the public and all ages are welcome to participate.
Hotel Santa Barbara encourages visitors to try street parking or the City of Santa Barbara Downtown Parking lot #11 located at 523 Anacapa Street.
